How does your media product represent particular social groups
my media product represents the youth of today as its particular social group is students whom are studying in or thinking about studying in the sixth form and the magazine that i have created gives a positive vibe about the sixth form and to the students that are participating in it. however it may be hard to gather enough information from the front cover and contents page of my media project to make this assumption that it is representing the youth however another factor to be taken into consideration is the formality of the text involved as it is very chatty and almost what you would expect students to use whilst held in conversation.
In what ways does your media product use develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products.
In comparison to my media product then its shares some similarities to a professionally made front cover and contents page such as the title of the magazine to inform the reader of what they might be about to read, for example my media product is called sixth form monthly and the newspaper the people is obviously about the people where as we can immeadiately tell that mine is going to be about sixth form, also my media product contains sub headings and images that would often be found in a professionally released magazine.
Evaluation of preliminary task.
1) In what ways does your media product use develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products.
2) How does your media product represent particular social groups
3) Who would be the audience for your product
4) How did you address your audience
5) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product
